Agave thorns

This agave was in Pima Canyon, after you start to ascend gently. Possibly a Parry’s Agave because of the curved spines, but I don’t know agaves very well. The weather was finally cool, a wonderful day for the hike.

Late blooming Blue Paloverde

The inordinately long warm season has confused the Paloverdes. This one was putting a few hopeful flowers.

It sat and watched me for a while, the did this strange manoeuvre before flying off.
